The Barakah Lab is an independent Dutch webshop for halal-curated Islamic lifestyle — from handmade tasbih to modest fashion and calligraphy by living artists.
In brief
Why The Barakah Lab
The Barakah Lab was founded by Enes Dogan, a 26-year-old entrepreneur from Cuijk who grew up between two worlds — Turkish family tradition and Dutch business culture. What he kept seeing: Islamic products in the Netherlands were either cheaply imported without soul, or priced as if spirituality were a luxury.
The Barakah Lab takes a third path. Three gates determine what may enter our catalogue: the source must be halal (no riba in the supply chain, no forced labour, no haram components), the maker must be ethically paid (fair prices for small ateliers over mass production), and the quality must be more durable than cheap-on-Amazon (products that last for years).
The result: a curated catalogue of 14 categories — from the Mecca mushaf to modest fashion, from Damascus calligraphy to Medina dates — where every purchase has a story.
"We don't want to be a Shopify store that happens to sell Islamic products. We want to be a brand where Muslims from the Netherlands and Europe can find products that take their deen seriously — for themselves and as a gift." — Enes Dogan, founder
